Octet Label-Free Detection Systems

Octet systems enable real-time, label-free analysis for determination of affinity, kinetics, and antibody/protein quantitation. Based on Bio-Layer Interferometry (BLI), this fluidics-free instrument platform offers a number of advantages over traditional label-free techniques like Surface Plasmon Resonance (SPR).

  • Higher Throughput – Protein quantitation can be complete in as little as two minutes, and up to 96 samples can be processed simultaneously on the Octet HTX system.
  • Wider Sample Compatibility – Analytes can be measured in unpurified mixtures such as cell lysates or hybridoma supernatants.  Octet systems tolerate glycerol and even up to 10% DMSO.
  • Lower Total Cost of Ownership – No fluidics modules to clog or cause downtime while waiting for replacements.
